Pallet Stacker for Precast Concrete Curing Chambers

A precast pallet stacker transfers loaded production pallets into and out of a multi-level curing chamber. The reference configuration offered through REALJET combines servo-driven rack-and-pinion positioning, automatic storage-bay recognition and station safety interlocks. Its catalogue rated load is 25 t, with the final handling arrangement matched to the pallet and curing layout.

Application

Connect pallet circulation with curing storage

A curing chamber needs a defined route for pallets entering storage and returning to production. The stacker coordinates this interface by positioning the pallet at the selected storage level and bay. Its layout must work with the chamber structure, pallet transfer positions and available building height.

For a carousel wall or slab plant, stacker selection is part of the curing and handling review. The number of storage positions alone does not determine the plant's output. Pallet arrival patterns, storage time and retrieval movements also need to fit the production plan.

Equipment features

Positioning and chamber coordination

  • Servo-driven rack-and-pinion positioning: travel and positioning use the specified servo and mechanical arrangement.
  • Automatic storage-bay recognition: the control concept identifies the required chamber position.
  • Coordinated control: stacker movements are reviewed with the adjoining pallet and chamber operations.
  • Station safety interlocks: the reference design includes interlocking for relevant station conditions.
  • Automatic or semi-automatic operation: the operating mode can be defined in the equipment scope.

The reference machine uses an overhead suspended structure. Building support conditions and installation clearances therefore belong in the layout review.

Working sequence

Pallet storage and retrieval sequence

  1. Receive a pallet at the agreed handover position.
  2. Identify the required curing bay and storage level.
  3. Position and transfer the pallet into the selected location.
  4. Retrieve the pallet after the approved curing and release conditions have been met.
  5. Return it to the defined downstream transfer point.

The final controls must define handover conditions between the stacker and the adjoining equipment. The stacker transports the pallet; the concrete curing and release decision follows the plant's approved procedure.

Equipment selection

Size the stacker with the chamber

Send the pallet drawing, maximum loaded handling condition, chamber arrangement and building section. The review should establish storage positions, travel distances, lifting levels and transfer interfaces. Confirm whether the rated load includes the pallet and all items carried during the handling cycle.

The catalogue's single-cycle figure is a reference for technical discussion. It is not a guarantee that a complete line will release a finished pallet every eight minutes. The movement path and the definition of a cycle must be agreed for the actual layout.

Equipment questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a precast pallet stacker handle?

It handles production pallets at the curing chamber interface. It positions loaded pallets for storage and retrieves them for the next production operation.

Is the reference stacker rated at 25 t or 30 t?

The configuration described on this page uses a 25 t catalogue rated load. A requirement above that figure needs a separate technical review and an agreed equipment specification.

Does the stacker determine curing capacity?

It affects the handling flow, but chamber arrangement, curing time, pallet quantities and production scheduling also determine how the curing system works.

Can it work with an existing curing chamber?

Compatibility depends on the chamber geometry, storage structure, pallet interfaces, load conditions and control arrangement. Provide the existing drawings for review.
