Metal Cabinet Service Doors to your design

Order a formed metal service door for your battery storage or data-center equipment cabinet. REALJET manufactures the panel, edge profile and specified reinforcement to the cabinet opening and hardware arrangement in your drawings.

Choose the part and delivery condition

Your order Information that sets the scope
Formed door panel Outer dimensions, return edges and openings
Reinforced door Stiffener drawing and joining details
Door prepared for specified hardware Hinge and lock interfaces, gasket land and bonding points

Supply is the metal door and any explicitly listed hardware. Hinges, locks, gaskets and bonding parts need a defined supply and installation scope. A door panel alone does not establish the complete cabinet protection rating.

Fit it to the equipment around it

A door has to close against the intended opening without forcing the hinges or latch. Provide the frame interface and required gaps. Mark gasket contact areas, lock cut-outs and bonding provisions so the panel and cabinet can be checked together.

Plan the manufacturing around these features

The steps below are proposed for the drawing review. Your material, geometry and acceptance requirements determine the final route, tooling and inspection provision.

Review the panel and openings

Resolve edge returns, hinge fixings and lock openings with the cabinet interface. Keep gasket lands and visible surfaces identified on the drawing.

Form before adding reinforcement

Review return-bend access, stiffener connections and joining sequence. Check panel movement after joining and release from any restraint.

Prepare hardware and finish

Confirm the hinge/lock supply and installation route. Review surface-treatment masking at bonding contacts and protection of sealing lands.

Manufacturing capability for your component

Your component feature Existing process and its use Confirm for your order
Door panel and returns Plate preparation and CNC bending. Prepare hinge/lock openings and form the edge returns while preserving the sealing land. Panel tooling, bend access and the specified free-state shape.
Reinforcement and fittings Welded fabrication and component assembly. Review stiffener connections and the sequence of hinge/lock fitting. Distortion after joining and cabinet-frame fixture availability.
Appearance and contact areas Phosphating, powder coating and painting routes. Review coating on visible surfaces, sealing lands and bonding provisions. Finish acceptance and any complete-cabinet qualification tests.

The forming workshop and listed coating/painting routes support the panel-manufacturing review. Hinge/lock fit and free-state panel shape require checks on this door design.

Define what the first article must demonstrate

Feature Proposed check Record to agree
Panel shape Inspect required flatness or shape in the specified support condition, distinguishing a free panel from a door pulled closed by its latch. Panel readings, support condition and selected measuring method.
Hinges, lock and gaps Fit to the nominated cabinet frame/fixture and check hinge axis, lock operation and perimeter gaps. Frame/fixture revision and individual gap/operation results.
Gasket land and bonding provision Inspect specified gasket-contact geometry and bonding attachments. Enclosure ingress and electrical tests require their own assembly/test route. Contact-geometry/hardware checklist; separate qualification report if ordered.

Identify the drawing revision, measurement datums and pass/fail limits before the sample is made. The quote confirms the available measuring setup, any mating fixture and whether a specialist test needs an external provider.

Packing for your next assembly step

Protect the visible finish and return edges. Keep hinge tabs and sealing lands away from packing restraints, and identify the door handing on the packing list. State the quantity and delivery city so packing volume and the requested delivery terms can be included.

Questions before you send drawings

Can closing the latch hide a door flatness problem?

It can pull the panel against the frame. If the drawing controls the free panel shape, measure that condition separately from closing gaps and lock operation. The acceptance plan needs to identify both conditions.

Can you match the hinges and lock on our cabinet?

Yes. Provide hardware drawings or part references together with the cabinet opening. Identify whether the hardware is supplied by you or included in the quotation.

What should I send for the drawing review?

Send the dimensioned PDF, available STEP/DXF/DWG files and assembly view. Include material, finish, quantity, delivery city and drawing revision. Mark the features in the inspection plan that control acceptance.

Can we approve a sample before ordering repeat quantities?

Request a sample or pilot batch with the agreed dimensional report and any mating checks. Scope, timing and test provision are quoted after review; repeat supply follows the accepted drawing revision and any agreed sample changes.
