Energy Storage PCS Chassis to your design
Source the metal chassis for your battery energy storage power conversion system (PCS). REALJET fabricates the enclosure structure and specified mounting parts from your component and assembly drawings.
Choose the part and delivery condition
| Your order | Information that sets the scope |
|---|---|
| Chassis shell or panels | Panel drawings, openings and attachment details |
| Joined chassis structure | Assembly drawing and specified connections |
| Chassis with component mounting parts | Support drawings, hardware and delivery condition |
The chassis order covers mechanical parts. Power electronics, controls, busbars and complete PCS electrical or thermal validation are separate unless explicitly included.
Fit it to the equipment around it
Show the component mounting pattern together with enclosure joints and service openings. Mark bonding contacts and areas where the metalwork must preserve electrical clearance. Your electrical design defines those requirements; the chassis drawing translates them into manufactured features.
| Intended installation | Equipment interface to supply |
|---|---|
| Battery storage equipment | Battery energy storage power conversion system |
Plan the manufacturing around these features
The steps below are proposed for the drawing review. Your material, geometry and acceptance requirements determine the final route, tooling and inspection provision.
Review component mounting and clearances
Relate component seats, panel joints and service openings to one chassis datum. Identify electrical-clearance and bonding features from the approved equipment drawing.
Form and join the enclosure parts
Review bend access and hardware-installation access before closing the shell. Confirm whether mounting features need finishing after joining.
Apply the specified finish
Review coating build-up and masked contacts, then inspect the assembly interfaces in the delivered condition. Electrical performance is not established by the metal fabrication route.
Manufacturing capability for your component
| Your component feature | Existing process and its use | Confirm for your order |
|---|---|---|
| PCS shell and mounting panels | Plate preparation and CNC bending. Review panel openings, mounting features and assembly access before closing the enclosure. | Tool access, hole-pattern tolerances and the specified component envelope. |
| Connections and hardware | Welded fabrication, drilling/boring/tapping and assembly. Review the join/fastener route and any finished mounting features. | Captive-hardware installation, grounding-contact preparation and fixture availability. |
| Final metalwork condition | Deburring and surface-treatment routes. Review finish and mask specified contact areas before the delivered clearances are checked. | Electrical/thermal validation and treatment qualification are separately scoped. |

The bending and assembly capabilities support a mechanical shell review. Electronics mounting, contact provisions and electrical clearances still require the PCS-specific drawing and acceptance plan.
Define what the first article must demonstrate
| Feature | Proposed check | Record to agree |
|---|---|---|
| Component seats | Measure hole/seat locations and heights from the chassis datums. Use nominated component dummies for a separate interference check. | Mounting measurements and dummy revisions. |
| Panels and openings | Check joint alignment and service access after joining and finish. | Panel-gap/opening results and assembly observations. |
| Contact and clearance provisions | Measure drawing-defined metal clearances and masked areas. Electrical continuity, insulation or safety tests need a separate confirmed route. | Dimensional/finish record distinguished from electrical test results. |
Identify the drawing revision, measurement datums and pass/fail limits before the sample is made. The quote confirms the available measuring setup, any mating fixture and whether a specialist test needs an external provider.
Packing for your next assembly step
Specify whether chassis parts arrive loose or joined. Protect panel edges, machined mounting features and the finish, and keep revision identification with each set. State the quantity and delivery city so packing volume and the requested delivery terms can be included.
Questions before you send drawings
Does checking the chassis clearances validate the PCS electrically?
No. Dimensional inspection can verify the specified metalwork features. Complete electrical safety and performance require the defined equipment assembly and test scope.
Can you manufacture only the PCS shell or a mounting panel?
Yes. Send the part drawing with an assembly view showing the interfaces. The quotation can cover individual metal parts or a defined chassis structure.
What should I send for the drawing review?
Send the dimensioned PDF, available STEP/DXF/DWG files and assembly view. Include material, finish, quantity, delivery city and drawing revision. Mark the features in the inspection plan that control acceptance.
Can we approve a sample before ordering repeat quantities?
Request a sample or pilot batch with the agreed dimensional report and any mating checks. Scope, timing and test provision are quoted after review; repeat supply follows the accepted drawing revision and any agreed sample changes.
