GPU Retention Brackets for AI Servers to your design
Source a metal retention bracket for the GPU card position in your AI server. Send the bracket drawing with its chassis or riser interface so the fixing pattern and formed offsets can be reviewed together.
Choose the part and delivery condition
| Your order | Information that sets the scope |
|---|---|
| Individual metal bracket | Part drawing and required quantity |
| Bracket with specified fasteners | Fastener list, installation details and delivery condition |
| Variant for a revised card layout | Updated GPU envelope, hole pattern and part revision |
The order covers the agreed metal bracket and listed hardware. GPU cards, riser circuit boards and cables are outside the metal part scope.
Fit it to the equipment around it
The bracket must hold the intended card without blocking adjacent components or the installation tool. Mark the GPU envelope, fixing-hole pitch and bend offset. Include the removal direction so the support does not obstruct maintenance.
| Intended installation | Equipment interface to supply |
|---|---|
| AI equipment | PCIe GPU AI server |
Plan the manufacturing around these features
The steps below are proposed for the drawing review. Your material, geometry and acceptance requirements determine the final route, tooling and inspection provision.
Review the blank and bend allowance
Check hole-to-bend distance, the card contact edge and tool clearance on the dimensioned drawing. Blank preparation is included through the quoted processing route.
Form the offset
Plan bends so the return flange remains accessible. Review material condition and bend radius for the specified offset; do not use a cosmetic edge as the inspection datum.
Complete a small-part route
Deburr card-facing edges and apply the specified finish. Welding or milling is added only for an actual drawing feature; a simple bent bracket does not need a blanket machining operation.
Manufacturing capability for your component
| Your component feature | Existing process and its use | Confirm for your order |
|---|---|---|
| Bracket profile and offset | Plate preparation and CNC bending. Prepare the fixing pattern and form the drawing-defined offset. A simple bracket need not inherit a frame-style welding or machining route. | Small-part handling, bend radius and hole movement near the bend. |
| Card-facing edge | Deburring and finishing. Remove burrs at contact edges and select the finish around mounting contacts. | Edge condition and finished offset. |
| Specified fasteners | Component assembly. Include purchased fasteners only when identified in the BOM; installation is scoped separately. | Hardware type, access and any press-fit/captive installation method. |

CNC press-brake equipment is already shown in the manufacturing workshop. For this smaller bracket the review must establish suitable tooling and handling, rather than infer suitability from press tonnage.
Define what the first article must demonstrate
| Feature | Proposed check | Record to agree |
|---|---|---|
| Offset and angle | Locate on the chassis-side datum and measure the formed offset and angle with a suitable dimensional setup selected for the part size. | Offset/angle readings and the datum used. |
| Fixing pattern | Check hole size and location against the drawing. A mating fixture can check assembly fit but does not replace a required positional measurement. | Hole results and separate fixture-fit result. |
| Card and tool clearance | Use the nominated card dummy or assembly to check mounting, release and tool approach; inspect contact edges for burrs. | Clearance checklist and mating-part identification. |
Identify the drawing revision, measurement datums and pass/fail limits before the sample is made. The quote confirms the available measuring setup, any mating fixture and whether a specialist test needs an external provider.
Packing for your next assembly step
Separate small brackets to protect the finish and prevent bent tabs. Keep different offsets or hole patterns labelled by part number and revision. State the quantity and delivery city so packing volume and the requested delivery terms can be included.
Questions before you send drawings
Does a small bracket need welding or milling?
Only if those operations are required by its features. For an ordinary formed retention bracket, the review focuses on the blank, bend offset, fixing holes and edge finish. Spring latches need a separate material and forming review.
Can you make a bracket from our PCIe GPU layout?
Yes, the metal bracket can be reviewed from your dimensioned drawing and assembly view. Identify the card envelope, attachment points and areas that must not contact electronics.
What should I send for the drawing review?
Send the dimensioned PDF, available STEP/DXF/DWG files and assembly view. Include material, finish, quantity, delivery city and drawing revision. Mark the features in the inspection plan that control acceptance.
Can we approve a sample before ordering repeat quantities?
Request a sample or pilot batch with the agreed dimensional report and any mating checks. Scope, timing and test provision are quoted after review; repeat supply follows the accepted drawing revision and any agreed sample changes.
Discuss your GPU retention bracket
Send the part and assembly drawings with your quantity and required delivery condition. Highlight the interfaces and checks listed above that matter to your order.
