Adjustable formwork for project-defined girder families
Highway and viaduct projects may use a family of U-girders with related but not identical lengths, end details or cross-section dimensions. Adjustable steel U-girder formwork can reduce the need to treat every variant as a completely separate mould, provided the permitted adjustment range is defined during engineering.
Realjet reviews the component schedule to identify which surfaces remain constant, which dimensions change and where replaceable or movable mould sections are practical. The resulting system can include adjustable end forms, controlled side-form positions, interchangeable inserts and reference points for dimensional verification.

Suitable project scenarios
Adjustable U-girder formwork is relevant to highway bridges, urban viaducts, elevated transport structures and precast yards producing several related beam types. It is especially useful when the production programme contains repeated elements with limited dimensional variation.
The proposal should be based on the full component schedule, tolerances, casting sequence, required output and available production space. Crane coverage, concrete delivery, prestressing operations, curing occupancy and finished-product handling should be reviewed together with the mould.
