Quality starts with the drawing

Define the fit.
Then plan the checks.

The inspection plan follows your part’s critical features and delivery condition. Confirm what needs to be measured, when it needs to be checked and which records are required.

Material & revision
Confirm the drawing revision, material specification and required certificates.
Geometry & mating
Agree datums, critical faces, locating bores, hole patterns and any trial fit.
Finish & release
Review weld appearance, finish, masking, identification and packing against the order.

Before you enquire

OEM manufacturing questions

Define what you want manufactured and how it will be accepted.

Do you manufacture components to customer drawings?

Yes. Realjet provides OEM contract manufacturing to customer drawings for custom metal components, including welded structures, machinery chassis, tanks and assemblies. Drawings, materials, critical dimensions and acceptance requirements are reviewed before the manufacturing scope is agreed.

Can I enquire about samples, small batches or recurring orders?

Include the trial quantity and expected repeat volume in your enquiry. Feasibility, tooling needs and minimum order quantity are assessed for the specific component; there is no single minimum quantity that applies to every project.

How are pricing and lead time determined?

Pricing and scheduling depend on the drawings, material, quantity, process route, tooling, inspection requirements and delivery destination. Share what is known in the initial enquiry; the remaining details are clarified before a quotation and schedule are agreed.

What inspection documents should I request?

Specify the material certificates, dimensional reports, weld inspection records, coating checks or other documents required by your project. The available records, applicable standards and acceptance criteria must be confirmed as part of the agreed order scope.

How should I share confidential drawings?

Use the initial form for a non-confidential description of the component. Realjet will contact you to agree the drawing exchange method. If your company requires an NDA or other confidentiality arrangements, raise these before sharing controlled files.

Can export packaging and delivery be included?

Include the delivery country, destination and any packing or marking requirements in your enquiry. Protection, export packing, transport responsibilities and delivery terms are reviewed and confirmed in the quotation scope.
