Made-to-drawing turntable structures for access equipment

An aerial work platform turntable is the structural connection between the chassis, slewing system and upper working equipment. The representative component shown here combines cut and formed plates, a load-bearing welded structure, connection brackets and controlled mounting interfaces. It is a manufacturing reference rather than an off-the-shelf model; dimensions, materials, loads and interface details are confirmed separately for every project.

Manufacturing scope and controls

  • CNC laser, plasma or flame cutting selected for the plate grade and thickness;
  • bending and forming of structural plates and brackets;
  • fixture-controlled welding to manage geometry and distortion;
  • drilling, boring or other machining of critical holes and mounting interfaces;
  • weld, dimensional and final-condition inspection against the approved quality plan;
  • phosphating, painting or powder coating according to the specified finish.

For construction machinery component manufacturing, the key challenge is not simply completing individual processes. The welded datum structure, slewing interface, pin positions and equipment mounting points must remain coordinated after fabrication and machining.
