CDU Chassis Frames to your design

Source the metal chassis that supports the pump, heat exchanger and enclosure panels in your coolant distribution unit (CDU). REALJET makes the frame to your cooling-equipment layout and assembly drawing.

Choose the part and delivery condition

Your order Information that sets the scope
Chassis skeleton Frame geometry, connections and equipment layout
Frame with mounting supports Pump and heat exchanger support drawings and datums
Frame ready for panel fitting Panel attachment details and required finished interfaces

The frame order covers the agreed metal structure. Pumps, heat exchangers, pipework, coolant and controls are separate items; the chassis does not establish cooling capacity or pressure performance.

Fit it to the equipment around it

Check equipment mounting positions alongside the access needed to remove a pump or heat exchanger. Show panel joints, rack or floor connections and pipe-routing space. A frame for AI server cooling and one for battery-storage cooling use their own mounting and service layouts.

Plan the manufacturing around these features

The steps below are proposed for the drawing review. Your material, geometry and acceptance requirements determine the final route, tooling and inspection provision.

Set equipment mounting datums

Review pump and heat exchanger attachment points together with the chassis base and removable panels. Resolve access to connections before forming or welding.

Build around service space

Review the tack/joining sequence and temporary locating supports. Avoid using removable panels to pull a distorted skeleton into position.

Finish equipment seats

Review any post-join mounting-face or hole machining. Mask specified seats and maintain the clearance allowed for final surface treatment.

Manufacturing capability for your component

Your component feature Existing process and its use Confirm for your order
CDU skeleton Plate preparation, bending and welded fabrication. Build the skeleton around the pump, heat exchanger and panel datums in the equipment layout. Frame fixture and component-removal space.
Equipment attachment faces Machining and assembly coordination. Review drilling, boring or specified face machining where equipment connections need a finished interface. Mounting tolerance, machine access and dummy availability.
Enclosure finish Phosphating, powder coating and painting routes. Review environmental finish and protected mounting contacts before panel fitting. Contact masking and the particular coolant-equipment environment.

Existing welded fabrication is relevant to the CDU frame. Pump and heat-exchanger locations are reviewed as equipment interfaces, without treating the frame as a pressure-containing circuit.

Define what the first article must demonstrate

Feature Proposed check Record to agree
Mounting interfaces Measure pump and heat exchanger hole locations from the equipment datums, including their relative heights. Interface coordinates/heights and datum setup.
Panels and chassis base Check opening geometry, panel fixing and base or rack attachment after joining and finish. Envelope/panel-fit results and attachment checks.
Service layout Use nominated equipment dummies or parts to check pump/heat exchanger removal without relying on an uninstalled pipe layout. Service-access checklist and component/dummy revisions.

Identify the drawing revision, measurement datums and pass/fail limits before the sample is made. The quote confirms the available measuring setup, any mating fixture and whether a specialist test needs an external provider.

Packing for your next assembly step

Protect the pump and heat exchanger mounting faces. Identify lifting and restraint points on the assembly drawing so packing supports do not load service-panel connections. State the quantity and delivery city so packing volume and the requested delivery terms can be included.

Questions before you send drawings

Can the frame be checked before pumps and pipework arrive?

A nominated dummy or fixture can check the mechanical mounting envelope and service path if it represents the approved equipment interfaces. It cannot validate coolant circulation, cooling duty or pressure integrity.

Can you make the frame for an AI data-center CDU?

Yes, we review the metal frame from your equipment and component drawings. Identify the pump, heat exchanger, enclosure and rack or floor interfaces to be included.

What should I send for the drawing review?

Send the dimensioned PDF, available STEP/DXF/DWG files and assembly view. Include material, finish, quantity, delivery city and drawing revision. Mark the features in the inspection plan that control acceptance.

Can we approve a sample before ordering repeat quantities?

Request a sample or pilot batch with the agreed dimensional report and any mating checks. Scope, timing and test provision are quoted after review; repeat supply follows the accepted drawing revision and any agreed sample changes.

Discuss your CDU chassis frame

Send the part and assembly drawings with your quantity and required delivery condition. Highlight the interfaces and checks listed above that matter to your order.
