Explore the production lineReinforcement cages for spun concrete piles
A spun pile cage welding machine positions longitudinal reinforcement and welds the spiral wire to form a cylindrical cage. It connects PC bar preparation with end-plate assembly and mould loading.
Longitudinal bar positioning and spiral-wire placement determine how the cage fits inside the mould. Cage production should be coordinated with bar preparation, end assembly and the handling route to the mould-loading station.
Configuration and integration
- Cage diameter and usable production length
- Longitudinal bar count and positioning
- Spiral pitch and wire feed arrangement
- Welding setup and cage discharge supports
Information for equipment selection
Cage drawings, bar and wire specifications, spiral pitch schedule, cage lengths and required output.
Selection questions
What is needed to select a cage welding machine?
Provide the cage diameter and length, longitudinal bar count and sizes, spiral-wire specification and pitch schedule. State which cage families will share the machine so that tooling changes and the discharge arrangement can be reviewed.
Does cage welding apply prestress to the pile?
No. Cage welding assembles the reinforcement. Prestress is applied at the tensioning stage through the approved anchorage and mould-end arrangement. The cage geometry must fit those downstream interfaces.
Supply and project coordination
Realjet can include the cage welding machine in a coordinated spun pile equipment package or review it for an existing production line. Equipment dimensions, capacity, controls and supply boundaries are confirmed against the project requirements before an equipment proposal is finalized.
For project preparation, review our equipment package scope guide. To discuss this equipment, use the product enquiry button and include your drawings and selection inputs listed above.
