A spun pile steel mould carries the reinforcement and concrete through prestressing, centrifugal forming and curing. Its split shell defines the pile exterior, while the running rings and end connections link the mould to the production equipment.
A split steel mould determines the external pile geometry while carrying the reinforcement and fresh concrete. Its running rings, end assemblies and closure details must work with the selected spinning machine, tensioning equipment and lifting arrangement.
Configuration and integration
- Pile diameter, length and end geometry
- Shell joints, alignment and closure fasteners
- Running-ring diameter and roller positions
- Lifting points and curing-route compatibility

Selection questions
How does a spun pile mould differ from a drainage pipe mould?
Both produce hollow concrete components, but the product drawings and manufacturing requirements differ. A prestressed pile mould must suit the specified reinforcement, tensioning connections and line process; a drainage-pipe mould is not a substitute based only on diameter.
What must be checked when adding moulds to an existing plant?
Check running-ring dimensions and spacing against the spinning rollers, then confirm mould-end connections, loaded mass, lifting points and curing-space clearances. A matching pile diameter does not establish compatibility with the existing line.
Supply and project coordination
Realjet can include the spun pile steel mould in a coordinated spun pile equipment package or review it for an existing production line. Equipment dimensions, capacity, controls and supply boundaries are confirmed against the project requirements before an equipment proposal is finalized.
