Selection questions

Can total mould weight simply be divided equally between two hooks?

Equal loading should not be assumed. The centre of gravity and lifting-point arrangement determine the load at each hook, and the crane selection must follow the agreed lifting plan.

What building information is needed before crane selection?

Provide bay span, available headroom, required lift height, runway information and the stations to be served. Include the mould lifting points and accessories so that clearances can be checked across the complete movement.
