A pile tensioning machine applies the specified prestressing load to the reinforcement through the mould-end anchorage system. It is selected as part of the mould and reinforcement assembly, not from pile diameter alone.
The tensioning station must connect correctly to the mould and reinforcement anchorage. Force, elongation and the operating sequence are defined by the approved pile design; equipment selection also considers access and the method used to verify the applied load.

Which inputs determine the tensioning equipment?
The approved prestressing design establishes the required force and verification method. Equipment selection also needs the working stroke, anchorage connection, available access and the sequence used at the station.
Can a tensioning machine be added to an existing mould line?
An upgrade requires review of the existing mould ends, anchorage details, reaction arrangement and controls. Connection compatibility and load capacity must be established before a replacement or retrofit scope is proposed.
